- The Chelsea Teddy Bear Company opened a new Toy Museum in Chelsea, Michigan that offers a fun learning experience for the entire family. It is located within the company's 35,000 square foot warehouse and production facility. It opened on July 26, 2008.
- The museum is under the direction of renowned toy expert and author Mr. Ken Yenke. Mr. Yenke promises this to be the finest toy museum in the United States, with many rare and valuable pieces on exhibit that will trace the history of toys around the world.
- The museum is free. Company owner Robert Turner says, "The museum will be free because we understand that families especially are feeling the pinch of the current economy. We want to offer them something to do that doesn't cost anything."
- As part of a grand opening promotion, the company broke its' own world record on Saturday, July 26 at noon for the "Largest Teddy Bear Mosaic". They invited anyone interested in helping them break the record to bring a bear to the event. The company's current world record can be found on page 176 of the 2008 Guinness World Records book.
- The Chelsea Teddy Bear Co. also offers factory tours of its' warehouse and production facility on Saturdays at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00 where visitors learn how teddy bears are made. The factory tours are also free.
- The company has a 3500 square foot factory outlet store where visitors can shop for over 100 different teddy bear designs, and kids of all ages can stuff their own teddy bear. They also can custom imprint your name on a bear's light colored t-shirt or hoodie while you wait in just a few minutes.
- The Chelsea Teddy Bear Company designs all of the teddy bears it sells in Chelsea. It also manufactures a few of the designs right in this facility. It currently sells teddy bears to all branches of the military, and ships bears to military bases all around the world, where soldiers usually buy them and send them home to loved ones.
